About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled business analyst who can effectively bridge business needs and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in requirements gathering, process documentation and improvement, software testing, user training, and support. Experience working within a utility environment, focused in asset management functions such as asset planning, design, construction, maintenance, repair, and retire processes is highly desirable. The successful candidate will also have SAP experience and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.

 

Job Definition

The Business Analyst I supports senior analysts and assist in documenting work procedures and business requirements and performs research. They are a liaison between business system users and Information Technology support. They gather and analyze data, help support continual improvement, streamline processes, and support business information systems. This includes assisting in gathering requirements, testing, reporting, and basic system problem solving and configuration. They also assist in developing and performing training, participate in customer implementations/change management, and provide post-implementation support.

 

The Business Analyst II professionals build on the foundational skills of the Business Analyst I by taking on more complex projects and responsibilities. They work independently on larger projects, lead small teams, and provide mentorship to junior analysts. They are responsible for high-level data analysis, process improvement, and supporting enterprise-wide business information systems. They document work procedures and business requirements and perform research. They are a liaison between business system users and Information Technology support. This includes independently gathering requirements, testing, reporting, and complex system problem solving and configuration. They develop and perform training, participate in customer implementations/change management, and provide post-implementation support. 

 

The Business Analyst III professionals are senior-level analysts who lead complex projects and initiatives. They provide strategic insights, influence decision-making at higher levels, and mentor level I and level II analysts. They are responsible for high-level data analysis, process improvement, and supporting enterprise-wide business information systems. They document work procedures and business requirements and perform research. They are a liaison between business system users and Information Technology support. This includes independently gathering requirements, testing, reporting, and complex system problem solving and configuration. They develop and perform training, participate in customer implementations/change management, and provide post-implementation suppor 

Minimum Qualifications

Business Analyst I ($83,640 - $104,550)

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;

OR

  • Four (4) years of experience working in a related business function.

 

Business Analyst II ($104,918 - $131,148)

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, AND Two (2) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role analyzing business system processes;

OR

  • Four (4) years of experience working in related business function, AND Two (2) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role analyzing business system processes;

OR

  • Six (6) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role analyzing business system processes. 

 

Business Analyst III ($131,609 - $164,512)

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, AND Four (4) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role analyzing business system processes;

OR

  • Four (4) years of experience working in a related business function, AND; Four (4) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role analyzing business system processes;

OR

  • Eight (8) years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role analyzing business system processes. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Experience

 

Minimum Required License(s) and/or Certification(s):

  • Valid Washington State Driver's License may be required with a good driving record.
