Job Details

Snohomish County PUD in Everett, Washington seeks qualified full-time Applications Configuration Engineers (multiple positions) to design and develop solutions to complex applications, system administration issues, and network concerns, performing systems management and integration functions.  He/she will be responsible for the design, configuration, and support of all areas of SAP application including Billing, Finance, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Device Management solution and Customer self-serve portal. Duties also include:  

  • Research and define system scope and objectives; identify a solution for issues requiring program (or system) modification. Provide ITS management with recommendations and work requirements.
  • Analyze business requirements, procedures, and problems to existing systems. 
  • Apply SAP project implementation methodologies during requirements, design, testing, documentation and support phases. 
  • Analyze, design, code, troubleshoot, test, implement, modify and support complex computer applications.
  • Provide system analytical support for SAP application modules and integrations to external systems.
  • Develop and perform system conversions. 
  • Investigate issues with ABAP debugging skills and identify the root cause for the production issues.
  • Develop and implement technical and functional specifications according to the business requirements that consists of details about the proposed solution, architectural design flow and the  test cases to be executed.
  • Effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, management, and external vendors. 

 

Job Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field; and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software engineering.  The applicant must also have each of the following skills:

  • 5 years of design, configuration, and support of SAP applications.
  • 5 years analyzing business requirements, procedures, and problems to existing systems. 
  • 5 years providing analytical support for SAP application modules and integration with external systems.
  • 5 years investigating production issues. 
  • 5 years designing technical and functional specifications. 
  • 5 years working with SAP project implementation methodologies. 
  • 5 years defining system scope and objectives. 
  • 5 years of working on system conversions.

 

In the alternative, will accept a Masters degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field; and three (3) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software engineering. The applicant must also have each of the following skills:

•    3 years of design, configuration, and support of SAP applications.
•    3 years analyzing business requirements, procedures, and problems to existing systems. 
•    3 years providing analytical support for SAP application modules and integration with external systems.
•    3 years investigating production issues.
•    3 years designing technical and functional specifications.
•    3 years working with SAP project implementation methodologies.
•    3 years defining system scope and objectives.
•    3 years of working on system conversions.

 

Experience may be gained concurrently.  Experience and graduate education may be gained concurrently.  Must demonstrate excellent communications skills.  Background checks required.
