Job Definition
This position may install, configure, and manage software, hardware, and modern operating systems such as firewalls, data encryption, and cloud-based monitoring tools; prepare reports that document security incidents; assist in the design and implementation of security systems; and help set and maintain security and regulatory compliance standards. This role will support and enable the identification, prioritization, and resolution of critical infrastructure and security related issues that impact business operations and safeguard the recoverability, performance, compliance, and security of District infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions
Analyzes, implements and oversees the installation, testing, maintenance and performance of District’s systems infrastructure.
Administers security on multiple system infrastructure platforms.
Assists in evaluating and recommending new hardware and software products.
Provides standard support and maintenance of District system infrastructure.
Troubleshoots and resolves system issues of moderate to high complexity. Monitors system performance and proposes alternatives to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
Assists with planning system infrastructure projects.
Follows policies, procedures, standards, and methodologies within Information Technology Services and the District. Applies security and quality assurance standards and best practices.
Coordinates with Information Technology Services and other District staff to develop and maintain information and documentation for system infrastructure.
Coaches, mentors and provides training to other IT staff.
Assists with cost benefit analysis of proposals for the District’s infrastructure platforms.
Develop and maintain accurate documentation.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience/Education
Infrastructure Systems Analyst - $76,107 – $126,845
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field and three (3) years progressively more responsible experience working with computer system infrastructures.
OR
- Associates Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field and five (5) years progressively more responsible experience working with computer system infrastructures.
Sr Infrastructure Systems Analyst - $95,468 – $159,113
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field, and
- Five (5) years progressively more responsible experience working with computer system infrastructures.
License/Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Information (cyber) security best practices
- Data classification and privacy principles
- Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles
- Cloud-based systems and integrations
- Familiarity wih OSI layers, TCP/IP stack and common internet protocols/servicesFirewall configurations and best practices
- Load balancer configurations and best practices
- Enterprise backup and disaster recovery principles
- Automation using scripting and/or programming
- Utility industry and public organization regulatory compliance standards
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) IT Service Management practices
