Job Definition
Provides research and administrative assistance to and serves as office manager for the Assistant General Manager. Prepares management reports; coordinates special projects as assigned; performs studies; writes and interprets District directives. Prepares, administers and monitors division budget. Supervises office services staff, as assigned.

Essential Job Functions
Plans and coordinates projects and administrative studies to provide information to the Assistant General Manager and department managers.
Gathers data, and conducts statistical analysis, as required, to keep Assistant General Manager informed on the status, progress, activities, needs and problem areas in the division. Conducts the appropriate analysis and evaluation to ensure that information provided the Assistant General Manager is accurate, pertinent and timely.
Supervises office services staff in division as assigned.
Acts as liaison for Assistant General Manager with management team, other District management staff, the General Manager, Corporation Counsel and the Office of the Commission. Establishes and maintains open communication.
Serves as office manager for Assistant General Manager with responsibilities including but not limited to: budget preparation, analysis and maintenance; development and administration of contracts; coordination and development of project management and productivity reports, business correspondence, Commission agenda materials, surveys, and speeches.

Coordinates activities supporting the Assistant General Manager's participation with external agencies, associations, municipalities and vendors.
Confers with customers and coordinates the timely response to complaints and requests for information, as applicable.
Composes and edits District code, directives and procedures that apply to division operation. Interprets and applies District policy and directives for staff.
Represents the division at meetings and on internal task forces, study groups and committees, as directed.
Performs other duties as directed.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience/Education
- Associates Degree in Office Administration or related field and three (3) years administrative experience, including one (1) year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Executive Assistants in Corporation Counsel must have two of the three years of administrative experience in a legal office.
License/Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Business Management Certificate or Associates of Technical Arts in Office Administration degree.
