Job Definition
Coordinates, supports and maintains all District audio visual (AV) systems and functional needs for AV systems. Provides equipment and other aids for conferences and meetings. Supports and assists with event management for large meetings and training center events. Troubleshoots and assists with usage of AV systems, hybrid meeting equipment and Teams operation. Coordinates AV systems, equipment, and support for Facilities projects on remodels and new construction. Assists with administration of the District’s Public Use of Facilities policy. Promotes Training and Technology Center usage in support of the District’s business and public objectives.

Essential Job Functions
Provides coordination and quality control for AV services, room set-ups, AV technology support and training aids and supplies. Assists with administration and interpretation of the District’s Public Use of Facilities policy and makes recommendations for changes to the policy when needed.
Coordinates AV technology needs, discussing requirements, alternative approaches, time and cost constraints for internal and external customers. Coordinates availability of contracted technical AV technology support when necessary. Orients clients on use of equipment available. Operates related equipment (video conferencing, computer projectors including computer software application support, video camera, audio mixers, lighting, and other AV technology equipment) for a variety of functions (e.g., lectures, training events, public meetings).
Provides support and setup for external/internal webcasts, web conferencing meeting technologies and group video conferencing.
Researches and makes recommendations and/or decisions on related equipment purchases and rentals in addition to contracted service needs. Maintains inventory of all District AV equipment.
Anticipates customer needs and makes appropriate arrangements to meet those needs, coordinating any special needs with Facilities staff. Responds to customer/facility user complaints as appropriate. Provides information and directs inquiries to the appropriate person or office.
Maintains current knowledge of all District functions, staff and their locations to provide accurate information in response to customer inquiries.

Provides technical tours of the Training and Technology Center, as needed.
Coordinates related billings for services to Training and Technology Center customers.
Provides assistance to the Training and Technology Center Receptionist and other users in the setup and operation of equipment.
Monitors Training and Technology Center application software and AV technology equipment for efficiencies on a continuous basis.
Maintains records, prepares reports and correspondence as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience/Education
AV Systems Specialist: $60,672-$101,120
• Associate of Arts degree in Business, Communications or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and directly related experience; AND
• Three years providing AV technology support in a business setting.
Senior AV Systems Design Technician: $67,953-$113,255

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications or related field or the equivalent combination of education and directly related experience, and,

Four (4) years’ experience in a progressive audio-visual/technology integration, configuration and installation environment in a business setting.
License/Certification
Preferred Qualifications
