Job Definition

Translate data into actionable insights through data science, data engineering and analytic techniques. Provide technical support to analytic application technology stack as well as analytic consulting to business functions, management and executive leadership.

We are seeking a team member to join us in moving our organization into the future as we secure our data and analytic foundations in Microsoft Fabric and move SAP Billing and ERP applications to the cloud. This 2-year project role is a member of the Data and Analytics team and has an opportunity in supporting the creation, validation and testing of new Microsoft Fabric materialized views, semantic layers, and Power BI analytics.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics or related field;

Four (4) years of progressively more responsible experience in data management, analytics, or information technology.

Data & Analytics Engineer II $117,508 to $146,885 Annually
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics or related field and Two (2) years of progressively more responsible experience in data management, analytics, or information technology;

Six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in data management, analytics, or information technology.

Job Definition

Performs various duties commensurate with knowledge, experience, skills, and certification in the operation, maintenance, construction, and storekeeping of the District's water systems.

Distinguishing Characteristics

Incumbents in this classification assigned to the Lake Stevens Water Operations headquarters are required to establish their residence so they will be able to report to work within thirty (30) minutes after being called.

Essential Job Functions

Under the direction of the Water Foreman and Water Distribution Specialists, performs a wide variety of duties to assist in the operation, maintenance, construction, and storekeeping of the District's water systems. May work independently to perform basic duties such as manual labor, meter reading, setting, replacement, etc., traffic control, valve operating, hydrant painting, brushing, flushing, water facility maintenance, etc. Water Workers at Level 3 and above may perform standby duties as assigned. Level 1: Washington State certification as a Water Distribution Specialist - In Training, Water Distribution Manager - In Training, Water Treatment Plant Operator - In Training, or Cross Connection Control Specialist I.

Level 2: Six months experience at Level 1.

Level 3: Six months experience at Level 2.

Level 4: Six months experience at Level 3 plus successful passage of the basic knowledge training module. After six months at Level 4, employee will automatically progress to Level 1 Water Distribution Specialist. Level 3 employees who do not pass the basic knowledge training module within six months of obtaining Level 3 will be laid off.

General Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of applicable state safety requirements.
Appropriate Washington State certification.
Valid Washington State Driver's License.
Ability to obtain first aid, CPR, flagging cards, and asbestos cement pipe certification within three months.

License/Certification

• Valid Washington State Driver's License, with good driving record.

Job Definition

Performs various duties in the operation, maintenance, construction, and storekeeping of the District's water systems to assure that local, state, and federal regulations are adhered to and that prompt, efficient, courteous service is provided to water utility customers.

Distinguishing Characteristics

This position is a step progression position with time requirements and with more responsibility assigned as experience is gained. The Water Distribution Specialist classification is distinguished from the Water Worker classification by the increased technical knowledge and skill required to perform the work. Progression to the next level of Water Distribution Specialist does not require a bid, but is contingent upon a satisfactory completion of the basic modules as outlined in the Water Unit Classification Administrative Guidelines/Modules and meeting the necessary time requirements.

1.   Under the direction of the Water Foreman and from plans, drawings, specifications, standard details, written and verbal instructions, etc., independently or with the assistance of other Water Distribution Specialists, Water Workers, other District employees, contractors, etc., performs a wide variety of water system operation, maintenance, construction and storekeeping duties consistent with the current Water Unit Classifications Administrative Guidelines.
2.   Guides, instructs, and checks the work of other Water Distribution Specialists, Water Workers, Flaggers, etc. to assist in their training as necessary.
3.   Performs standby duties as assigned.
4.   Follows applicable safety rules contained in the District's Accident Prevention Manual and WAC 296-24, 296-45, 296-54, 296-62, and 296-155.
