Posting Information

This position will remain open until filled. We are currently hiring for three immediate openings and establishing an eligibility pool that may be used to fill future vacancies for up to one year.

Job Definition

Under the direction of the Manager, Substation Construction & Operations or Wireman Foreman works on the construction and maintenance of station and substation equipment.

Distinguishing Characteristics

The Wireman classification is distinguished from the Apprentice Wireman classification by the increased technical knowledge and skill required to perform the work. The Wireman (Journeyman) has successfully completed a certified Wireman Apprentice program. Is required to purchase all personal hand tools under one-inch (1”).

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Must qualify as a Wireman Journeyman by having completed three (3) years of training in Wireman work, or its equivalent.

High School diploma or equivalent.

License, Certification and/or Testing:

Obtain a valid Washington State Commercial Driver License (Class A) with a good driving record within six (6) months from job start date.
Obtain a valid First Aid certificate within 3 months from job start date.
Obtain a valid CPR certificate within 3 months from job start date.

Part Time

This position is part-time, with weekly hours subject to change according to operational requirements. At present, we estimate a commitment of approximately 25 hours per week.

Job Definition

Assists and performs various departmental functions including (but not limited to): sorting and delivery of internal and external mail, delivery of internal supplies, preparation of special mailings, maintaining department warehouse, operation of mailroom equipment and computer systems, preparation of departmental reports, and coordinating purchase of departmental items.

Three (3) levels exist within this position. This position is a step progression with time requirements and with more responsibility assigned as experience is gained.

Essential Job Functions

Sort and delivers inter-office mail.
Fill and deliver supply requests.
Pick up from and delivers mail to the U.S. Post Office.
Apply postage to and process mail.
Answers phones and assists employees, vendors, etc.
Access vendor websites such as UPS and FedEx to prepare trackable deliveries such as overnight and ground letters/packages.
Answer warehouse door and assist drivers with deliveries.
Drive to deliver and pick up mail from various District offices.
Receive address update information from U.S. post office website, reviews and enters address updates.
Perform emeregency backup of bill print and inserter operation for the Print Shop.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of:

• Customer relations, including communication techniques and skills.

Ability to:

• Sort and deliver mail.

• Operate postage machine.

• Lift and move up to 55 lbs. on a daily basis. (Demonstrated)

• Keyboarding skill at 35 words per minute.

• Be flexible for cross-training and reassignment as required to meet department needs.

• Be flexible to work shift hours as required to meet department needs.

• Interact and communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors and outside agencies. (Demonstrated)

Experience/Education

High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of six (6) months office/clerical experience or related education.

License/Certification

• Valid Washington State Driver's License, with good driving record.

• Successful demonstration of ability to lift and move 55 lbs.

• Successful completion of typing test at 35 words per minute.

• Successful completion of interview process.

• Successful completion of forklift training.

Preferred Qualifications

Six (6) months mail center experience
Basic word processing/PC experience.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed primarily in an office environment.

• Driving is required to other locations in all types of weather conditions.

• Incumbents may be exposed to loud noises caused by machines in the print shop.

• Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 55 lbs. on a daily basis.

• Must be able to load and unload items out of District vehicles on a dialy basis.

Job Definition

Successfully provide technical, engineering, and project management services related to the design, maintenance, operations, improvements of and additions to the District’s facilities and systems in a technically sound, safe, timely, and cost effective manner to enable the District to realize its goals and objectives. Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in a broad area of assignments. Plans, organizes, assigns, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. This position is focused on managing our Wildfire Mitigation Program with responsibility for leading and continuously advancing the District’s wildfire mitigation program that supports safe, reliable, and resilient electric utility operations. This role provides strategic leadership, governance, and accountability for all wildfire mitigation activities, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders. As the District’s primary subject matter expert and program owner, the Wildfire Program Engineer/Manager develops and maintains wildfire mitigation plans, oversees risk assessments, integrates operational strategies such as Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) protocols, and establishes performance metrics that demonstrate measurable risk reduction and program effectiveness.The position serves as the central coordinator for wildfire program and risk management, ensuring mitigation strategies are data-driven, defensible, and aligned with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and enterprise risk management principles. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional planning efforts, evaluating wildfire risk and system vulnerabilities, developing infrastructure and operational improvements, implementing situational awareness and decision-support technologies, coordinating with external agencies and industry partners, and driving continuous program improvement through lessons learned and performance monitoring. Through proactive leadership and strategic oversight, the Wildfire Program Engineer/Manager strengthens system reliability, reduces ignition risk, enhances community safety, and helps ensure the District remains prepared for evolving wildfire threats and regulatory expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering related field, AND
Six (6) years of related engineering experience;

Ten (10) years of directly related engineering experience.

Minimum Required License(s) and/or Certification(s):

Valid Washington State Driver's License with a good driving record
Washington State Professional Engineering (PE) License
