Short Description

Summer Student positions will be open at Snohomish County PUD between March and June. Keep checking back as student positions will open as they become available, and close as they are filled. Please apply for any and all student positions you are interested in and eligible for.

Job Definition

This summer student position will close when successful candidate has been identified, or by June 14, 2019.  

This Summer IT Student will assist the Analytics and Information Management team and Snohomish County PUD #1 connect data and document repositories to a new user interface. The tool will help IT staff and business users find analytics & reporting content, understand from whence the content came, and how is is being used.  By having this tool, business users will be better able to know how to find answers to their business questions.  IT will be better able to support (i.e., troubleshooting, avoiding duplication) and have better insight into the inventory of technical objects (reports, universes, models, etc.), how they relate to one another and who use them.

Amongst the tools that candidate will be using, or exposed to, are: PowerBI, SharePoint, BusinessObjects platform (for BI, Data Services and Information Steward), SQL Server, and SAP HANA.  it will be an exciting opportunity to gain experience with a wide variety of tools and provide a valuable service to the PUD. 

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older at time of application.

• High School student or student currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or vocational program, working toward a degree or certification.

• Information Technology students must be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year in the Fall of this year.

  • Proof of student status for Fall 2019 is required if selected for a position.  Acceptable documents include:  current registration/enrollment notice, or letter of intent from Registrar's office, or student enrollment history, or tuition payment confirmation.

  • Must successfully complete the pre-employment screening process, including testing for employment (if applicable).
